Taylor Swift Book Tag

I love Taylor Swift and have loved her and her music for several years now. I am very happy that Carrie @ The Book Goddess tagged me in the TAYLOR SWIFT BOOK TAG, so thanks Carrie! There are some Taylor Swift songs in this tag and I will be picking books to go with them all. This should be fun! I will list my favorite Taylor Swift (aka T. Swizzle) songs at the bottom of this post as well. Maybe you want to listen to the songs while you read this post...you know?

We Are Never Getting Back Together

Pick a book or series you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with.

Must I even explain this one....Divergent was great, Insurgent was dull, and I have no urge to even pick up Allegiant.

Red

Pick a book with a red cover

BAM! It has red and it's probably one of my favorite books of the year.

The Best Day

Pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic.

Fox in Socks is my favorite Dr. Seuss book by far! I remember asking my dad to read this book to me almost every night when I was little. Every single time we read it, I would pretty much die of laughter during my favorite parts.

I Knew You Were Trouble

Pick a bad character you couldn't help but love

I would not exactly call Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment a bad character but....he did murder a woman with an axe (ouch!) and he felt no guilt about it. Well either way, I still really liked him as a character and I found myself hoping the police would not be able to catch him and throw him in jail.

Innocent

Pick a book someone ruined the ending for

Just...no

Everything Has Changed

Pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development.

I'd say Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird goes through a lot of character development. At the beginning of the book she was very naive and innocent, but as time went on she grew more aware and mature. This is one of the reasons why I absolutely love this book.

You Belong With Me

Pick your most anticipated book release.

For those of you who know I have an obsession for Percy Jackson and a love for Rick Riordan books, this should not come as a surprise. I mean come on, I don't think you can convince me that you are not excited for Magnus Chase. I just won't believe you.

Forever and Always

Pick your favorite book couple.

Percy and Annabeth of course!

Shake it Off

Pick a book that you love so much, you just shake off the haters.

Yeah so don't even try to say anything bad about Percy Jackson to me because we will literally fight. No I'm kidding guys but...just don't even try it. We will not be friends, so if you have an issue just keep it to yourself. Thank you. (Did you feel that sass?)

Blank Space

Pick the most over-hyped book or series that didn't work for you at all.

Everyone seems to adore The Great Gatsby and I was so excited to finally get to read it last year. Then I actually read it and it could not have been over soon enough. This book is less than 200 pages long, but it just kept dragging on and I was just sitting there thinking "When is it going to end???" I did not care about a single character, the romance was pathetic, and the ending was a relief because it was finally over. Ok that's a little harsh, but can someone please explain to me what all the hype is about because I just don't get it AT ALL.

Invisible

Pick the most under-hyped book or series that you think deserves the spotlight.

The Stolen Empire Series by Sherry D. Ficklin is so good! It's a historical fiction young adult novel with romance, politics, and action. Please go read it right now! Then after you are hooked, come back and discuss it with me. You're welcome.

The Story Us

Pick a couple you think should end up together

For this one I pick Cassia and Xander. I don't even know why Ky was so special and I liked Xander a lot better than him. I mean his name is even cooler than Ky's but that's besides the point. To be honest, I did not think Matched by Ally Condie was that great of a book anyway.

Love Story

Pick a forbidden love in a book or series.

Hence the title, Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma is a book about forbidden love. I have not read this book yet but I really want to.

The Questions and My Responses

1.) Do you prefer a male or female character POV?
I honestly love both, but I feel like most of my favorite books are from a male's POV. These include the Percy Jackson Series, Everybody Sees the Ants, The Rithmatist, The Giver, etc.

2.) What is your favourite and least favourite thing about blogging?
My favorite is getting to comment on other people's post and reading and replying to comments on my posts. It is fun to connect with people who read your blog. It is actually very difficult for me to think of my least favorite because I really love pretty much every aspect of blogging. My least favorite thing though, would probably have to be the very, very ocassional email I get from authors who feel as if I am entitled to read their book and give it a good review. Am I right?

3.) If there was one author you could meet, who would it be?
RICK RIORDAN ALL THE WAY!

4.) How do you choose what you are going to read next?
Lol! This is a very funny question to me. I feel like there are some people out there who have a whole formula and system to what they read and when they read it, but honestly, I am in no way like that. My method is really traditional and rather simple. Here, let me break it down for you:
Step 1: I get into the reading mood
Step 2: I decide its time to pick what book to read next
Step 3: I walk over to my shelves
Step 4: I inspect my shelves, looking at every book I have not read
Step 5: I pick out the one that gives me the most pleasure envisioning myself reading it
And that is pretty much it. Enlightening right?

5.) What is one thing you can’t stand in a romance?
I know pretty much everyone cannot stand instalove. Olivia even said it in her Liebster Award post, but I guess I should at least try to be original and say something else. I really do not like stalkery (Wow Chioma that's not even a word) relationships. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. The ones where the guy is always staring at the girl through her window at night or the girl appears with the guy around every single corner. Yeah, those ones. And to make it even worse, many of the characters act like this behavior is totally normal (Like What???). I'm just over here like: Um helllooo. Are you daft! That's not cute; it's just plain creepy. You need to call the police!

6.) What’s your favourite song?
Only one song??? I think we are going to have to bend the rules here and change it to plural. Well I am kind of (more like very) in love with Michael Jackson even though he is dead (*tears*), so basically I love any song by him. I am not even going to list my most favorite ones because I am sure you do not want to be here forever. Other favorite songs include: Anything by Marina and the Diamonds, anything by Britney Spears, anything by Sia, anything by Mika, One More Night by Maroon 5, Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder, Only by Nick Minaj, Adore You by Miley Cyrus, Speak now by Taylor Swift, Agolo by Angelique Kidjo......you know what, let me stop. This is getting way out of hand. I will have to save the rest for another blog post.

7.) Which blogger would you consider to be your closest friend?
I honestly do not have any real "close" blogging friend per say, but I hope I can start making more blogging friends, especially among my fellow teen book bloggers. But here are a list of bloggers I really love and would like to befriend/become closer to.
Carrie @ The Book Goddess
Olivia Galt @ Fluttering Pages
Sunny @ A Sunny Spot

8.) Why did you start blogging?
Ok guys here I go with my life story. It all started way back in the day. Back when I was just a little innocent child of the age nine. Even at that age, little Chioma enjoyed reading alot and devoted much of her supposedly "class time" in school to hanging out in the library. What a nerd right!?! (just kidding) Anyway, our librarian soon came to know me pretty well and invited me to join her book club. So little Chioma thought, "Wow a club where we read books together and discuss them once a week, in the morning? Sign me up!" (I didn't really think exactly that but you get the gist.) So I gladly joined and in the club, our librarian taught us how to create a blog. Then after every book we read, we would blog about it. Then BAM! My love of blogging was born. Of course this is not the same blog because frankly, I forgot the password to my first one and since then I have had like 5 blogs, but this one has definitely been my most sucessful one. So if you ever happen to stumble upon a very pink book blog that uses a Cutest Blog on the Block theme and is written by a nine year old, then please let me know!

9.) What is your favourite social media site to use?
Twitter! It is literally one of the best inventions ever because I can pretty much discuss and connect with anyone and everyone. You can follow me @BlueBooksandBs. We can have a discussion about Percy Jackson! Discussing any other books are cool too.

10.) Which country/fictional world would you visit if you could?
Definitely the Hunger Games! (....that's not even funny. Let me know if you want me to make a post about how to make unfunny jokes. It's quite the talent of mine.) No, but seriously, I would visit Camp Half Blood. (As many of you probably could have guessed)

11.) Which book would you like to toss into the flames?
None of them! Omg that makes me so sad to even think about. No book deserves such torture...well maybe one. I might just throw Adolf Hitler's book (What was that thing called again?) into the flames just because it would make me feel like I am throwing Hitler into the fire. (Wow. I just noticed how twisted that makes me sound. I promise I am a caring and generous person!)

Whew! We made it throught all those questions. Hopefully you guys were not bored silly listening to me ramble. Now time for the people I nominated.
